PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between CJ Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Pulver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Turner might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to All I Do Is Win. Josh Pulver has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turner shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pulver manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Pulver is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Turner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Turner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Turner in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Pulver bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Turner's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turner is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pulver drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Turner dives on top into guard.

Turner is posturing up here but Pulver has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Turner tries to roll out but it's too tight and Turner has to tap! Slick submission there by Pulver!
