The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petric is looking to clinch but van den Kieboom is avoiding it.
Petric leaves van den Kieboom with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
van den Kieboom shoots in but Petric avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Petric takes the fight into the clinch.
Petric creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through van den Kieboom's defenses.

It looks like Jacobus van den Kieboom has been cut.
van den Kieboom drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Petric gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Petric screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
