No luck for Powers with that takedown attempt.
Silva looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Powers shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Powers is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Powers works his way into full mount!
Powers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Powers moves to back control.
I would not like to be Silva right now.

Powers is looking for the choke from the back position but Silva is controlling his hands well.
Powers really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Silva.

I looks like Powers might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
A lull in the action here.

Powers is working for a rear naked choke. Silva is not defending it well and Powers has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Silva refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Silva's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
