Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Grossman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Anderson Silva has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Anderson Silva seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva connects with a high kick.
It looks like Teddy Grossman has been cut.
Grossman moves out of range as Silva throws a body kick.
Grossman throws a head kick that misses
and Silva counters with a takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grossman wants to control but Silva postures up.
A control attempt from Grossman but he's now mounted!
Silva wants to control the pace but Grossman is squirming around nicely.
Silva has hold of Grossman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Grossman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Silva fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
