Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chip Chap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salko Simba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simba uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chap.

Simba tries to keep at a distance but Chap has taken the fight into the clinch.

Chap breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A lazy left from Simba finds it's target.

Chap tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Simba swivels and escapes.
Chap shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Simba as he jumps to the side.

Chap closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Simba to the mat! Simba manages to get full guard.

Chap closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Simba stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Simba wants it to stay on the feet.

Chap feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chap has hold of Simba's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Simba manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
