Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clovis Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vadim M (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). M has chosen Eminem - Not Afraid as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
M lands a lovely overhand right.
M tries to clinch up but Nunes circles away and keeps his distance.
M fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
M should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
M looks for a takedown but Nunes sprawls well.
M throws a nice looking combination but Nunes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Clovis Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vadim M.
M's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and M duly obliges.

Nunes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! M is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nunes, into his guard.

M drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nunes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now M has Nunes in his guard.
M looks gassed!

Nunes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

M wants to stand but Nunes is controlling his posture from full guard.
M throws a big right hand that misses.

Nunes is working an open guard so M takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
M fails in his attempt to clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nunes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so M is just riding it out for now. Nunes eventually gives up the hold.
M wants to improve his position but Nunes is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
M is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nunes scores with a couple of nice shots.
M wants to get back to full guard.

Nunes wants to work for an arm triangle but M is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Clovis Nunes will probably get the nod.

M controls Nunes momentarily but Nunes frees himself.
M wants to sweep here but Nunes controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nunes chips away with some ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nunes shoots in looking for a takedown. M tries to sprawl out of it but Nunes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. M manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Clovis Nunes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

M stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Nunes has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! M manages to get his head free but now Nunes has transitioned to an armbar! M grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Nunes! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
