Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rawg Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Laveaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rawg Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pierre Laveaux!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a nice looking combination but Laveaux bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A punch combination from Gracie misses.
Laveaux throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie.
Laveaux shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but Laveaux keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Laveaux counters with a right hand to the body.
Gracie blocks a head kick by Laveaux.

Laveaux fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gracie, pushing him back against the cage.
Gracie is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Gracie seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Laveaux is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.
Gracie is pressed up against the cage. Laveaux has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gracie down to the mat. Gracie avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Gracie throws a combination that misses
and Laveaux counters with a straight right hand.
Laveaux tried to score with a low kick but Gracie checks it.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Laveaux.

Laveaux moves into range and clinches up with Gracie.

Laveaux has hold of one of Gracie's legs. Gracie is fighting the takedown attempt but Laveaux gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Laveaux is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him.
Laveaux is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Gracie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Laveaux trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.
Gracie wants to get back to his feet but Laveaux passes into half guard.

Gracie is trying to stand up here but Laveaux is controlling him well.

Gracie kicks Laveaux off and gets back to his feet.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Laveaux cracks a nice hook into Gracie's ribs.
Laveaux dips to his left and cracks Gracie with an uppercut!
Gracie falls off balance throwing a combination
and Laveaux counters with a one-two to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laveaux throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gracie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Laveaux misses with a leg kick.
Laveaux getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Laveaux drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Laveaux is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Gracie is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Laveaux is controlling him.

Laveaux decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gracie, up you get!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gracie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Laveaux counters with a series of strikes. Gracie will be more careful next time no doubt.

Gracie is rocked!
Laveaux steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Gracie is out on his feet! Laveaux sets himself and nearly takes Gracie's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Pierre Laveaux!
