The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tims cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Tims has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Tims sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed das meses Silva's guard.
Tims works his way into side control.
Tims lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear das meses Silva down.

Tims has das meses Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Tims breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tims moves into the clinch successfully.
Tims blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Tims has das meses Silva pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tims pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending das meses Silva tumbling to the mat - Tims dives into das meses Silva's guard.

das meses Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Tims forces das meses Silva back against the cage and clinches.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tims takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Tims has clasped his hands together around das meses Silva's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Tims takes a little break here. das meses Silva wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Tims has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Tims will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tims goes for an armbar but he's not got it… das meses Silva turns into him and now he's in Tims's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tims is on top in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
das meses Silva is working an open guard so Tims takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Tims forces das meses Silva back against the cage and clinches.
Tims breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tims feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tims has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Tims decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
