The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeBramalo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Starks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has DeBramalo pinned against the cage. DeBramalo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Starks throws a lazy right hand but DeBramalo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

DeBramalo tries to score with some ground and pound. Starks controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

DeBramalo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Starks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

DeBramalo drops Starks with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Starks looks back up at him and smiles so DeBramalo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Starks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Starks uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from DeBramalo.
Starks seems to have got his legs back now.
DeBramalo leaves Starks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

DeBramalo connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Starks tumbling to the canvas! DeBramalo pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Starks was done - good stoppage!
