The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
madgwick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Copeland.

Copeland drives through and clinches with madgwick against the cage.
madgwick drops down looking for an ankle pick but Copeland pulls his leg out and moves away.

Copeland really doesn't want to stay on the ground with madgwick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Copeland just trying to survive but madgwick is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

madgwick seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Copeland for as long as he can get away with.
