The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silvva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silvva lands in his opponent's guard.

Silvva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Poloski is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silvva, into his guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Michal Poloski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silvva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Silvva drops back looking for a leg! Poloski is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Poloski manages to kick Silvva off! Silvva jumps back into Poloski's guard.

Silvva wants to free his trapped foot but Poloski is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Poloski is not content to let Silvva control the position.

Silvva seems to be working for a kimura but Poloski defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Poloski wants to get back to full guard.
Poloski is refusing to be controlled, as Silvva sits in half guard.
