Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Borg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Overeem gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Borg got a little sloppy there for a moment and Overeem has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Borg has managed to get both his arms back between Overeem's legs - danger averted.

Borg decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Overeem rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Borg moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Overeem throws a right hand that Borg ducks under and follows up with a left that Borg also avoids with ease.

Borg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Overeem's waist but Overeem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Borg off to one side.

That was a close round but I would say that Alistair Overeem will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Overeem thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Borg is looking to stand up but Overeem isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Overeem is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Overeem drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Borg manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Overeem has Borg in his guard.
Borg is pushing down on Overeem's leg trying to pass to half guard. Overeem is fighting to maintain full guard but Borg has managed to sneak the leg through.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Overeem wants to get back to his feet.
Overeem is staying active underneath Borg, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Borg decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Overeem throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alistair Overeem is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Borg looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
It looks like Borg is going to stand back up.
Borg is keen to just control but Overeem is a slippery customer.
Borg is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Borg is sitting in close to Overeem's body. Overeem has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Borg is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Borg is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Overeem.
