Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jzk Crock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crock's entrance music is raaah Crock-time!. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jzk Crock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Grey!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crock misses the shot to the body.
Crock misses with a low kick as Grey jumps back.

Grey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Crock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grey defends well.

Crock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Grey wants to pass the guard but Crock is keeping the position.
Grey throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crock works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Crock wants to clinch up but Grey keeps it at a distance.

Crock tries to clinch but Grey moves out of range.
Grey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jzk Crock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Crock throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Grey on the side of the head.
Crock throws a big shot that misses.
Crock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Crunch! Grey slams his shin into Crock's torso.
Crock gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Grey counters with a good low kick that Crock was not able to check.
Crock is breathing heavily.
Crock doesn't manage to clinch there - Grey circles away.

and Grey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Crock won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Jzk Crock has been cut.

Grey jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Crock manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Grey is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Crock is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Grey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Crock has escaped the position, nice work there.
Crock is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Crock is trying to control Grey's posture but Grey avoids it.
Grey has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Grey looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Grey scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Grey pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Crock swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Grey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Grey has control of Crock's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Crock regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Crock wants to control but Grey is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee warns Crock that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Crock gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Grey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grey has managed to get both his arms back between Crock's legs - danger averted.
Grey advances to half guard.

Grey is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Crock sees it coming and defends easily.
Crock tries to get to full guard but Grey has control of the leg.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Grey. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Crock tries to roll over but Grey keeps him under control.
Grey scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grey is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Crock has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Crock!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Crock moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

and Grey counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Crock's corner calls for a 1-2. Crock obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Crock throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Grey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Crock sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grey somewhat.

Jzk Crock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Crock is trying to defend but Grey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Grey has hold of Crock's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Crock manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Crock is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

John Grey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Grey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
