Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander osth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander osth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Junior Alves!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from osth.
Alves circles away from the clinch attempt.
Alexander osth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
osth moves in looking to clinch but Alves pushes him off.
Alves shoots for a double leg takedown but osth sprawls well. He's pushed Alves's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
osth is looking to clinch but Alves is avoiding it.
osth throws a head kick but Alves moves out of range.

Alves shoots in and bounces osth off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Alves drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alves jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Alves is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! osth is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! osth has escaped and now he's on top!

Alves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but osth can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
osth has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alves is proving hard to escape from.

osth trying to control the position from guard on top but Alves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
osth is working Alves over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Alves is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. osth is aware though and is defending well.
Alves trying to keep a closed guard but osth is proving a slippery customer.

Alves working for a triangle but osth defends it easily.
osth has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Alves looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

osth tries to free his leg and advance position but Alves is retaining full guard.
osth slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Alves keeping moving, preventing osth from controlling successfully.

osth is really struggling to control Alves but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Alexander osth just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Alves.
Alves avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A punch combination from osth misses.

Alves scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

osth pushes Alves away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Alves gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Alves tries to move into full mount but can't pass osth's legs.

Alves is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. osth is trying to escape and Alves transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and osth is forced to tap! Nice work there by Alves! Very nice indeed!
