Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between JJ Spinks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Ravage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that JJ Spinks has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily JJ Spinks seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Ravage!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Ravage. No joy for Spinks on that attempt.
Ravage fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Spinks shoots in and bounces Ravage off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Spinks is in close to Ravage's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Spinks stops Ravage from standing up.

Spinks feints and as Ravage raises his hands in defense, Spinks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ravage prevents Spinks from getting back to his feet.

Spinks is looking to stand back up but Ravage counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Spinks.
Ravage is pressing down on Spinks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spinks is holding on for now.
Spinks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ravage on the ground.
Ravage wants to take a breather but Spinks is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Ravage gets caught flat footed, as Spinks shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Spinks is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Spinks is working Ravage over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Spinks shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ravage as he jumps to the side.
Spinks closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ravage circles away.

Spinks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ravage takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Spinks throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Ravage works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Spinks lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

And that's the end of the fight!
JJ Spinks showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Spinks, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
