Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and sucre jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). sucre jackson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, sucre jackson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White fails to land the takedown.
White avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

jackson has control of White's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and White regains control of the situation pretty easily.
White can't escape the position.
White is working hard here to advance position.
jackson won't let White get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
White flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
White tries to lock up and control but jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
White can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White tries to hold on but jackson postures up.
jackson looking to control and managing it successfully.
White tries to control jackson's head but jackson pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! White is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!

jackson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… White is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by White and jackson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

White might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

jackson decides to take the fight back to the feet.
White misses with a head kick.
White misses with a takedown

and jackson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for White!
White is breathing heavily.
White is working to get back to half guard.
White gets back to half guard.
Well, if jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

jackson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
jackson misses with a takedown attempt - White sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

White closes the distance but jackson moves to the side

and jackson counters by moving into the clinch.
White tries to pull guard but jackson holds him up against the cage and eventually White drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam White. That's going to take a lot out of him.

White crunches a lovely knee into jackson's ribcage.
White tries to land knees in the clinch but jackson avoids the damage to the body.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
White trying to control the position from guard on top but jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now jackson is on top in guard.

White throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for jackson because White loaded up on that one.

jackson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

White goes for an armbar but jackson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from jackson.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


jackson shoots in but no luck this time.
White tries to clinch but jackson is having none of it.
Adam White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
White misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and jackson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by jackson.
jackson cracks White with a solid left hand.
White doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
jackson wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.

White has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard.
White bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in jackson's guard.
jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
White working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
White wants to pass the guard but jackson is keeping the position.
White postures up in jackson's guard and throws a big left but jackson blocks it.
White trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
jackson throws a right hand that White ducks under and follows up with a left that White also avoids with ease.
Adam White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
White fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and jackson counters with a shoot takedown. White fights it but they end up in guard.

jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

White is trying to defend against the ground and pound but jackson scores with a couple of nice shots.
White is looking to get back to full guard here but jackson has managed to pass to side control instead.
White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

sucre jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - jackson lands in his opponent's guard.
jackson stands and throws White's legs to the side, diving into side control.
jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
jackson wants to control but White is keeping him busy.
White gets back to half guard.

jackson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and jackson manages to end up in side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

and jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in White's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

jackson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
