Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from SaintPierre is defended easily by Sanchez.
SaintPierre shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanchez sprawls well. He's pushed SaintPierre's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt
and SaintPierre counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
SaintPierre is trying to work for a kimura but Sanchez is defending well.
Sanchez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but SaintPierre pulls his head out easily.
SaintPierre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanchez keeps working.
Sanchez tries to get to full guard but SaintPierre has control of the leg.
Sanchez landing rabbit punches to the side of SaintPierre's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and SaintPierre counters with a shoot takedown. Sanchez fights it but they end up in guard.
Sanchez throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sanchez keeping moving, preventing SaintPierre from controlling successfully.
SaintPierre is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
SaintPierre drops back looking for a leg! Sanchez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sanchez manages to kick SaintPierre off! SaintPierre jumps back into Sanchez's guard.

Sanchez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and SaintPierre defends well.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanchez is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
SaintPierre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanchez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sanchez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sanchez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but SaintPierre manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sanchez has SaintPierre in his guard.
SaintPierre postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sanchez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. SaintPierre doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. SaintPierre manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

SaintPierre is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sanchez has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. SaintPierre is looking to defend but Sanchez has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for SaintPierre! Sanchez pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, SaintPierre taps out and this one is all over!
