PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth Petruzelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and emmanuel tomkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petruzelli's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, DANCER. emmanuel tomkins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
tomkins cracks a nice hook into Petruzelli's ribs.

tomkins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Petruzelli is trying to defend but tomkins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Petruzelli can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petruzelli wants to control but tomkins is having none of it.
Petruzelli tries to control tomkins's body but tomkins pushes him off. Petruzelli squirms to his side and now tomkins has his back!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Petruzelli pushes tomkins off looking to stand but tomkins dives back in and keeps control.

Petruzelli is trying to stand up here but tomkins is controlling him well.
tomkins uses his free foot to push down on Petruzelli's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Petruzelli.

Petruzelli covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Petruzelli is trying to get back to his feet but tomkins has full control of the position and if anything, Petruzelli has just worked his way into a worse spot.

tomkins has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Petruzelli has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

tomkins is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Petruzelli has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
tomkins is hanging on to Petruzelli's back as he tries to escape.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

tomkins decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
tomkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Petruzelli tries to avoid it but tomkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Petruzelli to the ground. Petruzelli escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and tomkins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Petruzelli's guard now.

Well tomkins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
