The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter looks to throw the jab but Michaels is out of range.
Michaels just misses with a punch to the body.
Michaels avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Michaels makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The crowd cheers as Michaels lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hunter doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Shane Hunter has been cut.

Michaels scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Michaels misses with the combination.
Hunter throws a shot from downtown. Michaels moves away and avoids it.
Michaels displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Hunter is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Michaels will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oh Hunter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shane Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Michaels ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Hunter's jaw. Hunter's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Michaels does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
