The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stasov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Stasov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Frolov's waist but Frolov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stasov off to one side.
Stasov shoots in for a takedown but Frolov shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Stasov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Frolov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Frolov wants it to stay on the feet.
Frolov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Frolov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stasov.
Frolov shoots in but Stasov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Frolov shoots for a takedown but Stasov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Frolov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Frolov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frolov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Stasov is looking to sinch up a triangle. Frolov throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Stasov's body to avoid the submission. Stasov has instead reached around Frolov's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Stasov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
