The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laruizetta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Laruizetta takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Fredo Laruizetta has been cut.
Horrible takedown by Laruizetta or perhaps it was just good defense by Tullimies which made him look bad.

Laruizetta feints and as Tullimies raises his hands in defense, Laruizetta changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tullimies wants to sweep here but Laruizetta controlling him for the moment.
Tullimies bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Laruizetta's guard.
Tullimies works over Laruizetta with some ground and pound from guard.
Laruizetta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tullimies on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tullimies connects with a nice short shot to Laruizetta's temple.

Tullimies seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Laruizetta does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
