The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hernandez tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hernandez. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Silva takes one to the chin there.
Hernandez connects with a right hand. Silva shakes it off.
Hernandez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Silva defending well as Hernandez loads up on a big left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hernandez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hernandez looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.

Hernandez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hernandez.
Hernandez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hernandez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hernandez avoids it really well and circles away.

Hernandez gets caught flat footed, as Silva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Silva seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Hernandez is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
