Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pongo Bongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cleon Base (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pongo Bongo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Base defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bongo.
Bongo tries to clinch up but Base circles away and keeps his distance.

Base darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Base is thwarting Bongo's attempts to control the position.
Bongo missing with punches from the bottom.
Base content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Base stands up from half guard.

Bongo misses with a takedown

so Base counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Base is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bongo wants to control the position but Base says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Bongo is looking for a sweep. Base is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Base is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Base has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bongo defend it? Base steps over the head and cranks it - Bongo is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Base!
