Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tazuboku Kayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franz Barta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kayo comes to the cage accompanied by Flipsyde - Someday. Tazuboku Kayo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franz Barta!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kayo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Barta shoots for a takedown but Kayo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Barta will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kayo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Barta.
Kayo stuffs the takedown attempt from Barta. Barta gets slowly back to his feet.
Tazuboku Kayo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franz Barta.
Barta is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kayo.

Kayo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Barta tries to lock up and control but Kayo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Barta shoots in looking for a takedown. Kayo tries to sprawl out of it but Barta keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kayo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kayo has hold of Barta's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Barta manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kayo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Barta throws out a leg kick but Kayo moves out of range and Barta only half commits.

Barta gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kayo drops back looking for a leg! Barta is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Barta manages to kick Kayo off! Kayo jumps back into Barta's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Barta is nestled in close to Kayo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Well Kayo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
