Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason MacDougal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aron Riddick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riddick has chosen Proletar as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason MacDougal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aron Riddick !
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddick moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
MacDougal shoots for a takedown but Riddick saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Riddick fails in his attempt to clinch.

Riddick shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. MacDougal is trying to defend but Riddick finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Riddick prevents MacDougal from standing back up.
MacDougal is not content to let Riddick control the position.
MacDougal is positioning himself well to prevent Riddick advancing to mount.
MacDougal tries to kick Riddick off but Riddick keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

MacDougal is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riddick content to control rather than advance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
MacDougal swats away the attempt to clinch by Riddick .
Riddick takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and MacDougal counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Riddick 's guard now.

MacDougal postures up in Riddick 's guard and throws a big left but Riddick blocks it.
MacDougal wants to control from the top but Riddick keeps moving.
MacDougal throws a strike but Riddick rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
MacDougal on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if MacDougal tries to get out of the position.
MacDougal has his hands on Riddick 's head, controlling the position.
Riddick stops MacDougal from standing up.

MacDougal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Riddick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Riddick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
MacDougal fails to pull the fight into his guard.

MacDougal wants to stand and escape but Riddick is having none of it.
MacDougal is trying to control the position but Riddick postures up.

Riddick decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Riddick should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Riddick drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Riddick makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

MacDougal is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Riddick 's shoulder. That is not cool.

MacDougal has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Riddick closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
MacDougal fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Riddick avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason MacDougal. That's going to take a lot out of him.

MacDougal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riddick takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

MacDougal has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

MacDougal slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

MacDougal seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Riddick for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Riddick gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

MacDougal drops back looking for a leg! Riddick is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Riddick manages to kick MacDougal off! MacDougal jumps back into Riddick 's guard.
