Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddy Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cash comes into the arena with The Man in Black by Johnny Cash blaring out of the sound system. Barnett has chosen It Ends Tonight as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Buddy Barnett enters the cage!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Cash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buddy Barnett! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnett on the wrong end of a nice jab. Cash bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Barnett throws Cash to one side and escapes! Barnett fails to land with a series of punches.
Cash slips a jab and a cross from Barnett.
Cash swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Barnett counters with a straight right hand. Barnett throws a combination that misses and Cash decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Barnett's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cash is looking to work some ground and pound but Barnett has wrist control. Barnett keeping moving, preventing Cash from controlling successfully. Cash is looking to stand up but Barnett won't let him. Barnett is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Cash escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cash is breathing heavily. Cash stops Barnett from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barnett is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Barnett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Barnett manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cash decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cash wants to stand up but Barnett has a hold of him and won't allow it. Cash scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Barnett pushes Cash off looking to stand but Cash dives back in and keeps control.

Barnett is looking to escape. Barnett avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cash. Cash stops Barnett from getting back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cash instigates a clinch. Cash pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cash throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Barnett on the side of the head. Barnett throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cash counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Barnett takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. No luck for Cash with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Cash. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barnett lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cash backs up against the cage.
Barnett stuffs the takedown attempt from Cash. Cash gets slowly back to his feet. Cash has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Cash tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barnett sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cash somewhat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barnett lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Barnett misses with a few strikes there.

Barnett saw that one coming. Johnny Cash is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cash closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Barnett is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Cash wants to control but Barnett is keeping him busy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barnett is pushing Cash's head away, looking to escape. Cash manages to hold on to the position though.

Barnett is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Cash in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Cash working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Barnett is trying to buck Cash off.

Cash scores a takedown into full mount! Cash lands a big elbow. Cash knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barnett on the ground. Cash scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Barnett?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnett wants to try and get back to his feet. Cash can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Barnett is looking to escape. Barnett wants to get back to his feet.

Cash is landing with some decent strikes but Barnett is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Cash landing strikes from the mount and Barnett is in trouble! Cash raining down shots from the mount! Barnett is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

This is bad for Barnett! Barnett really wants to buck Cash off and get back to his feet. Cash working the ground and pound effectively.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cash scoring with strikes but Barnett is staying in there. Cash with shots to the head and body - Barnett looks very uncomfortable down there. Barnett is trying to stand. Cash dominating with strikes here. Cash cracks Barnett with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Cash showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cash, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
