PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Crocker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grand Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crocker's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Britney Spears - Gimme More. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crocker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Flash looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crocker is fending him off so far but Flash persists. Nope, Crocker circles away and we're back to standing.

Flash throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Crocker was covering up waiting for the punch and Flash finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Flash throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crocker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Flash accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Flash bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flash tries to advance to mount but can't.
Flash tries to score with some ground and pound. Crocker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Flash throws an elbow but Crocker slips to the side and avoids it well.

Flash goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Crocker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Flash but great work by Crocker.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Crocker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Flash is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Crocker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Flash is looking to escape.
Flash wants to control but Crocker is having none of it.
Crocker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Flash bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Flash drops back, looking for a kneebar! Crocker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Crocker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Crocker!
Flash is not content to let Crocker control the position.

Crocker stands up.
A nice combination there by Crocker.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Crocker tries to clinch there but Flash circles away.
Flash shoots in but Crocker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crocker looks to land a combination. Flash sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Flash wants to pass the guard but Crocker is keeping the position.
Flash postures up in Crocker's guard and throws a big left but Crocker blocks it.

Flash is being controlled here.
Flash gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Flash is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Crocker with a flurry of punches that miss.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Flash is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Crocker is aware though and is defending well.
Crocker is working Flash over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Crocker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Flash is proving hard to escape from.
Flash will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Crocker's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Crocker stands and steps away. Flash gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Crocker misses with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Crocker will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Flash seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Flash manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crocker manages to get himself to full guard.

Flash drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Crocker dives on top into guard.
Flash takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Crocker is in close to Flash's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Flash is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Crocker defends well.

Flash has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crocker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

and Flash counters with a single leg into guard. Crocker didn't expect that.

Flash is looking to work some ground and pound but Crocker has wrist control.
Grand Flash has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Crocker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Flash on the ground.
Flash is pushing down on Crocker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Crocker is fighting to maintain full guard but Flash has managed to sneak the leg through.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Grand Flash.
I think Crocker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
