Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Redfield!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Redfield sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Redfield scores with a decent looking hook.
Redfield throws a combination. Belin tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Redfield moves into range and clinches up with Belin.
Belin keeps control of Redfield as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Belin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Redfield is keeping busy.
Redfield prevents a body shot from Belin.
Belin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Redfield gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Belin jumps into guard, dragging Redfield to the mat.

Belin looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Redfield wants to stand but Belin is controlling his posture from full guard.
Redfield must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Belin wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Redfield stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Belin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Belin tries to clinch
and Redfield counters with a nice body shot.
Redfield stuffs the takedown attempt from Belin. Belin gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karl Belin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Redfield misses with a head kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Belin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice takedown defense from Belin. No joy for Redfield on that attempt.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Jab, jab by Redfield - just one landing.
Redfield bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Belin's head backwards.
Redfield ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Belin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Belin misses with a shot to the body

and Redfield counters with a shoot takedown. Belin fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Belin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Redfield tries to free his leg and advance position but Belin is retaining full guard.
Belin has a closed guard, preventing Redfield from standing up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Redfield looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Belin controls Redfield momentarily but Redfield frees himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Belin walks into a stiff left hand from Redfield.
Redfield looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Belin shoots in for a takedown but Redfield shows good takedown defense.
Chris Redfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belin shoots and misses
and Redfield counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Redfield dips to his left and cracks Belin with an uppercut!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Redfield showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Redfield clobbers Belin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Redfield lands with a straight right. Belin didn't see that one coming.


Belin is rocked!
Redfield lands with a nice body punch.
Redfield scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Redfield tries a low kick but Belin avoids it.
Redfield walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Belin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Chris Redfield seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Redfield gets a clinch.
Belin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Redfield.
Redfield is pressed up against the cage. Belin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Redfield down to the mat. Redfield avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Redfield shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Belin sprawls well. Belin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Redfield gets slowly back to his feet.

Redfield drives through and clinches with Belin against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Redfield's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Belin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Redfield walks away with a smile on his face. Belin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nice uppercut lands for Redfield. That snapped Belin's head back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Belin wants to clinch
and Redfield counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Belin doesn't manage to clinch there - Redfield circles away.
Belin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Redfield counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karl Belin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Chris Redfield is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Redfield cracks Belin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Redfield clinches up with Belin and pushes him back against the cage.
Redfield goes for a takedown attempt but Belin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

enabling Redfield to counter with a crisp jab.

Redfield scores with a crisp jab that stopped Belin in his tracks.
Redfield moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Oh Belin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
It's a brutal combination of punches from Redfield! Belin is backing up but he can't get away as Redfield lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Belin and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chris Redfield!
