Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Derek Blackley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nando Ferraz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Blackley might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shock To The System by Billy Idol. Derek Blackley has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nando Ferraz!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferraz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blackley.
Ferraz throws a body punch but Blackley moves out of range.
Ferraz tries to move into range but Blackley moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ferraz looks to land a combination but Blackley avoids it well.
Ferraz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Blackley takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ferraz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blackley looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Blackley drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ferraz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Blackley takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Blackley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ferraz's half guard.
Ferraz is looking to get back to full guard here but Blackley has managed to pass to side control instead.
Blackley tries to control but Ferraz wriggling away.

Blackley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ferraz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Blackley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ferraz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blackley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ferraz's head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A close second round but Nando Ferraz will probably get the nod - 10:9.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blackley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
