Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Stryfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Honcho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Honcho has chosen Beastie Boys- Sabotage as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Stryfe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Honcho!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honcho fails in his attempt to clinch.
Honcho pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Honcho prevents Stryfe from getting back to his feet.
Honcho wants to control from the top but Stryfe keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Stryfe takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Stryfe swats away the attempt to clinch by Honcho.
Honcho shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stryfe pinned against the cage. Stryfe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Honcho is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stryfe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Honcho lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stryfe misses with a low kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Honcho checks a leg kick.

Honcho dives in and grabs Stryfe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stryfe pushes down on Honcho's head and hops out.
Nathan Stryfe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Honcho.

Stryfe throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Honcho tightens his grip and picks Stryfe up, before dumping him to the ground. Stryfe manages to land in guard.

Stryfe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Honcho has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stryfe is proving hard to escape from.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Honcho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Honcho postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Honcho is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Honcho misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Honcho lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Nathan Stryfe has been cut.

Honcho moves into the clinch.
Stryfe makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Stryfe gets underhooks to prevent Honcho's takedown attempt.

Honcho shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stryfe as he jumps to the side.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Honcho throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Honcho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stryfe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Honcho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stryfe tries to avoid it but Honcho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stryfe to the ground. Stryfe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Honcho unloads with some shots from mount but Stryfe bucks and avoids them well.
Stryfe tries to lock up and control but Honcho gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Honcho looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Mike Honcho is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stryfe is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Honcho postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stryfe looks a forlorn figure.
Honcho takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Nathan Stryfe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
