The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dank fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jonzzon sprawls well initially but Dank persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dank stalling.
Dank trying to mount his opponent but Jonzzon defends it.
Dank is keen to just control but Jonzzon is a slippery customer.
Dank is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jonzzon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Jonzzon is looking to improve his position.
Jonzzon looks like he's trying to stand up.

Dank seems to be working for a kimura but Jonzzon defends the submission attempt.
Dank wants to pass the guard but Jonzzon is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jonzzon throws a head kick that Dank semi-blocks.

Dank shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jonzzon napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jonzzon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dank. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
