Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Persius Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch comes to the cage accompanied by LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Danny Lynch has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Persius Masters!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters shoots for a takedown but Lynch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lynch moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lynch lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Lynch drops Masters with a beautiful combination! Masters stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lynch is looking for the KO!


Masters is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Masters closes the distance and clinches up with Lynch, looking for a takedown. Masters pushes Lynch against the cage but Lynch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Masters is still on wobbly legs! Can Lynch finish him?
Lynch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Masters circles away quickly and effectively.
Lynch tries to clinch but Masters is having none of it.

Masters seems to have recovered his senses.
Lynch ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Masters moves away.
Masters misses with a takedown attempt - Lynch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Danny Lynch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Persius Masters.

Masters shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lynch manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Lynch has his feet on Masters's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Lynch throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Masters throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lynch was covering up waiting for the punch and Masters finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Masters working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Masters content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Lynch wants to stand up but Masters is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Masters accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lynch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lynch tries to get out of the position.

Lynch has his feet on Masters's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Masters fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lynch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lynch tries to clinch up.

Masters fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lynch, pushing him back against the cage.
Lynch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Masters keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lynch's efforts to push away.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lynch.

A short right from Lynch on the inside.
Lynch wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lynch lands a left hand that snaps the head of Masters backwards.
Lynch is pressed up against the cage. Masters has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lynch down to the mat. Lynch avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lynch wants to clinch.
Lynch lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Masters looks gassed!
Lynch connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Masters gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lynch lands with a short shot to the head.
Masters is working for takedown but Lynch is calmly controlling the position for now.
Lynch is trying to force a seperation but Masters has the dominant position.
Masters struggles to land a body shot inside as Lynch controls his hands.

Lynch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Masters dives in and grabs Lynch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lynch pushes down on Masters's head and hops out.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lynch wants to clinch but Masters slips to the side

and Masters counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lynch wants to stand but Masters is controlling the position.
Masters throws a big right hand that misses.
Masters throws and elbow that misses. Lynch uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Masters's guard. Nice move by Lynch!

Lynch stands up and waves to Masters to follow him.
Masters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lynch throws a series of punches but Masters moves out of range.
Lynch looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Masters shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Masters was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Masters landing punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lynch squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Masters breaks from Lynch's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Lynch dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Lynch lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Masters darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Masters missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Masters connects with a nice short shot to Lynch's temple.
Lynch is looking to escape.

Lynch kicks Masters off and gets back to his feet.
Lynch goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lynch swinging wildly here.

Masters feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Masters controls from within his opponent's guard.
Lynch is looking to stand up but Masters isn't so interested in that idea.

Masters is in close to Lynch's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Masters working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lynch's head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lynch looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Masters shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lynch pinned against the cage. Lynch gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lynch will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Masters throws and elbow that misses. Lynch uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Masters's guard. Nice move by Lynch!
Masters is looking to stand up but Lynch isn't so interested in that idea.
Lynch has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Masters is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lynch won't allow Masters to sweep him here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Masters is on top in guard.
Lynch wants to stand but Masters is controlling the position.

Lynch wriggles free and stands up.
Lynch tries to clinch but Masters moves out of range.

Masters closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Persius Masters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Masters is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lynch sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Masters shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Lynch bucks up and throws Masters to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lynch has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Masters has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lynch avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Lynch is trying to maintain a safe position but Masters gets an underhook and turns Lynch into the cage.

Lynch tries to break free but Masters pushes him back against the cage.

Masters prevents Lynch from breaking the clinch.
Lynch stops a takedown attempt from Masters.
Lynch lands an uppercut.

Lynch scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Masters dodges the punch combination from Lynch.

Masters closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lynch did well to prevent Masters getting side control.

Masters misses with a head shot. Lynch uses the momentum to regain guard.

Masters changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lynch fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lynch tries to close the distance and clinch but Masters swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lynch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lynch moves in looking to clinch but Masters pushes him off.

Persius Masters comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Masters has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
