Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Diamond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conrado Moreno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Diamond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Conrado Moreno!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Diamond does no damage.
Diamond looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Moreno rushes Diamond and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Diamond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Moreno changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Diamond fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Moreno feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Moreno fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diamond, pushing him back against the cage.

Moreno has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Diamond uses from the top position.

Diamond is fighting to break Moreno's control of his arms but Moreno is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Moreno is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Diamond can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Moreno is throwing shots to the body but Diamond manages to wriggle free. Moreno pounces on him again and ends up in Diamond's guard.
Diamond is trying to control the position but Moreno postures up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Diamond keeping moving, preventing Moreno from controlling successfully.

Moreno looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Moreno looks for a takedown but Diamond sprawls well.

Diamond is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Moreno is pushing down on Diamond's leg trying to pass to half guard. Diamond is fighting to maintain full guard but Moreno has managed to sneak the leg through.
Moreno is looking to pass Diamond's guard but actually Diamond recovers to full guard.
Moreno looking to sit in guard and control but Diamond gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Diamond is looking to stand up but Moreno won't let him.
Moreno controls Diamond momentarily but Diamond frees himself.
Diamond tries to stand but Moreno is controlling from the bottom.
Moreno is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Moreno is trying to keep Diamond in close.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Diamond lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moreno circles away quickly and effectively.
Moreno wants to clinch.
Moreno shoots for a takedown but Diamond saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Moreno shoots in for a double leg but Diamond sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Diamond lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Diamond looks to land a body kick but Moreno moved away.
Moreno blocks the body kick.
Diamond misses with a body kick.

Moreno shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moreno goes for an armbar but Diamond turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Diamond.
Diamond is looking to stand up but Moreno won't let him.

Conrado Moreno showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Diamond throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Moreno looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Diamond trying to hold on to Moreno's head to control him but Moreno postures up.
Moreno is keen to just control but Diamond is a slippery customer.
Moreno is pressing down on Diamond's thigh, looking to free his foot. Diamond is holding on for now.

Moreno seems to be working for a kimura but Diamond defends the submission attempt.

Moreno stalling away here and it's allowed Diamond to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Moreno misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Diamond throws a combination. Moreno tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Jack Diamond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Diamond lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Moreno closes the distance and clinches.
Diamond is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Moreno is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Diamond pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Moreno lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Diamond circles away quickly and effectively.

A lazy left from Diamond finds it's target.

Moreno gets the takedown into side control.
Moreno creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Diamond sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Moreno goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Diamond rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Moreno's guard! Nice work there by Diamond!

Moreno is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Diamond wants to get up but he can't break Moreno's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Moreno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diamond can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

I've got Moreno winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
