The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Dorian or perhaps it was just good defense by Powers which made him look bad.
Powers throws a series of punches but Dorian avoids them all with ease.
Dorian tries to keep at a distance but Powers has taken the fight into the clinch.
Powers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Matt Powers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dorian shoots in for a takedown but Powers shows good takedown defense.
Powers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dorian moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dorian is trying desperately to land a takedown but Powers is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Dorian.

Powers is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dorian can't fight it off and eventually Powers manages to take the fight to the floor. Dorian looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Powers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dorian stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Powers connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Dorian drops his hands momentarily and Powers takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Powers using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dorian has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Dorian drops back, looking for a kneebar! Powers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Powers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Powers!
