PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Dekker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emils Heartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dekker comes into the arena with Freak on a leash blaring out of the sound system. Heartman has chosen Bandoleros as his entrance music. Heartman has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dekker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Heartman swivels and escapes.
Heartman looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Dekker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dekker lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Dekker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Heartman has hold of Dekker's hands but Dekker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Dekker is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Heartman can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

It looks like Emils Heartman has been cut.
Dekker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Heartman is still in real trouble! Can Dekker finish him?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Heartman can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee warns Heartman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Heartman is bucking up trying to escape but Dekker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
