Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Mazinger!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazinger throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mazinger scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Goodyear scores a takedown into full mount!
Goodyear trying to control but Mazinger is having none of it.

Mazinger is desperately trying to improve his position but Goodyear has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Goodyear looks up at the clock and then as Mazinger takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Goodyear smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Mazinger is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Goodyear perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Goodyear has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Goodyear is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Goodyear trying to control the action but Mazinger is working from the bottom.
Mazinger wants to control but Goodyear is keeping busy.

Goodyear is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mazinger has managed to free his arm - good work.
Goodyear is breathing heavily.

Mazinger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Goodyear is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Goodyear shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Goodyear stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Goodyear bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Goodyear thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Goodyear misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Mazinger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Goodyear is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mazinger has escaped the position, nice work there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bartolomeo Goodyear dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Goodyear has his hands clasped together but Mazinger extends an breaks Goodyear's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mazinger.
