Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Phillips Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kevin Phillips Bong has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kevin Phillips Bong seems to be OK! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia dives in and grabs Phillips Bong's left leg, looking for a takedown. Phillips Bong pushes down on Maia's head and hops out.
Phillips Bong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maia moves away.
Phillips Bong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maia was well out of range. Poor timing from Phillips Bong.
Phillips Bong fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Phillips Bong lands a right hook to the body.
Maia looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Phillips Bong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Phillips Bong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Maia drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Phillips Bong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maia manages to avoid it.
Phillips Bong slaps away a takedown attempt from Maia, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Phillips Bong is looking to wear down Maia with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Phillips Bong bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Phillips Bong misses with an uppercut. Maia saw that one coming.
Phillips Bong throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Phillips Bong throws out a loose jab but Maia uses good head movement to avoid it.
Phillips Bong ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Maia's jaw. Maia's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Phillips Bong does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
