Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrea Toto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mamed Khalidov!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalidov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Toto as he avoids it easily.

Toto gets the takedown into side control.
Khalidov is looking to regain half guard here but Toto keeps moving and retains side control.
Toto wants to stand but Khalidov is controlling his arm.
Khalidov is trying to improve his position.
Khalidov wants to control but Toto postures up.
Toto just content to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Toto counters with a nice double leg into side control. Khalidov won't be happy with that.

You can see the frustration on Khalidov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Toto is trying to get an arm triangle but Khalidov is defending well.
The referee asks Toto politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Toto prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khalidov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Khalidov is looking to improve his position.
Toto takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Toto's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Khalidov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Khalidov.

Toto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Toto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Khalidov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Toto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Toto has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Khalidov is proving hard to escape from.

Toto is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Toto with a flurry of punches that miss.
Toto is looking to work some ground and pound but Khalidov has wrist control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Andrea Toto just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Khalidov tries to pull guard but Toto holds him up against the cage and eventually Khalidov drops back down to his feet.

Toto feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Khalidov has his foot on Toto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Toto works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Khalidov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Toto pulls his head out easily.
Khalidov wants to control but Toto is keeping busy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Khalidov gets full guard.

Khalidov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Toto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Toto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Toto is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Khalidov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Toto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Khalidov as he avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by Toto or perhaps it was just good defense by Khalidov which made him look bad.

Toto shoots in looking for a takedown. Khalidov tries to sprawl out of it but Toto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Khalidov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrea Toto. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mamed Khalidov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
