The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meri throws a head kick that Pakarinen semi-blocks.
Pakarinen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Meri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pakarinen is fending him off so far but Meri persists. Nope, Pakarinen circles away and we're back to standing.

Meri gets control of Pakarinen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Meri will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
