Houle has chosen Human(e) Meat (The Flensing of Sandor Katz) as his entrance music. J F Houle is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, J F Houle!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Star stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Star wants it to stay on the feet.
Houle throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Ken Star has been cut.
Houle throws a sloppy head kick and Star moves out of range easily.
Star gets a takedown into half guard.
Houle is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Star's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Star's back!
Houle lands punches and elbows.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Houle is persistently looking for the submission but Star is defending it well.
Houle controlling the position well here. Star rolled but Houle kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Star is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Star's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Houle is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Star knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Star for a finish.
Star manages to stand up with Houle still on his back. Eventually Houle drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Houle explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Star tries to close the distance and clinch but Houle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ken Star seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Houle misses with a series of wild punches.
Houle with a lazy takedown attempt
and Star counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Star knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Houle on the ground.

The fighters are battling for position here. Houle manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Houle has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Star doesn't defend quickly enough and Houle has managed to lock this one up! Can Star escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Houle on a fantastic submission victory.
