The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang slips a jab and a cross from Fierre.
Fierre scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Kang throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fierre.
Fierre keeps the fight on the outside.

and Kang counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fierre manages to get to full guard.
Fierre really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fierre wants to stand up but Kang is controlling him.

Kang has gone for a leg lock! Fierre slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kang's guard.

Kang controls Fierre momentarily but Fierre frees himself.
Fierre wants to pass the guard but Kang is keeping the position.

Kang is breathing heavily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fierre passes Kang's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fierre misses with a head shot. Kang uses the momentum to regain guard.
Fierre trying to control but Kang is working from the bottom.
Fierre sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kang's guard.

Fierre is keen to just control but Kang is a slippery customer.
Kang regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kang preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Fierre with a flurry of punches that miss.
Fierre chips away with some ground and pound.

Fierre drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kang looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kang looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kang!

Kang is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Fierre is trying to escape and Kang transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Fierre is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kang! Very nice indeed!
