Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greek Rabio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greek Rabio looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabio misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rabio looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Beast!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Beast, as that shot connected.

Beast tries a head kick but it misses.
Beast's corner calls for a 1-2. Beast obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Beast throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rabio on the side of the head.
Rabio avoids a punch combination nicely.

Beast closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rabio to the mat! Rabio manages to get full guard.

Rabio wants to improve his position but Beast is controlling well.

Beast comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Beast throws a right and a left that Rabio avoids nicely.
Beast connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Beast forces Rabio back against the cage and clinches.

Beast breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Beast is trying to trip Rabio. He has hold of a leg but Rabio is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Beast persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Rabio is working an open guard so Beast takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Beast throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rabio stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Greek Rabio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rabio takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Beast buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Beast wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Beast lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rabio!

Despite being in the dominant position, Tony Beast just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rabio takes a jab right on the kisser.
Beast connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Beast throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rabio.

Beast's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Let's hope that Beast has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's time! Rabio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Beast gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Rabio takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Beast wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rabio takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Beast closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Beast wants the takedown. Rabio is fighting it off but Beast persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rabio's guard against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tony Beast is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Beast throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rabio accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rabio throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Beast works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Beast has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rabio off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Well Beast has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
