Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paavali Pietari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Caruso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caruso bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pietari really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pietari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Caruso moves away.

Caruso shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Caruso was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Caruso tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Pietari knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Caruso on the ground.
Let's hope that Caruso has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Caruso stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Caruso feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pietari wants to hit a switch here but Caruso passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pietari there!
Pietari really wants to buck Caruso off and get back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Caruso shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pietari is trying to defend but Caruso finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

and Caruso counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pietari!
