Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Toyoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jurgen Patriarkki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jurgen Patriarkki looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jurgen Patriarkki!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Patriarkki.
Toyoku shoots for a takedown but Patriarkki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hideo Toyoku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Patriarkki lands a jab to Toyoku's midsection.
Toyoku misses with a body punch
and Patriarkki counters with a nice body shot.

It looks like Hideo Toyoku has been cut.

Toyoku lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Toyoku bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Patriarkki throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Toyoku lands a nice hook to Patriarkki's body. Patriarkki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Patriarkki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Patriarkki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Toyoku.

Toyoku misses with a jab to the body
letting Patriarkki counter with a right hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Patriarkki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Toyoku - the referee stops the clock and Patriarkki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Toyoku. Patriarkki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Patriarkki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Patriarkki lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Toyoku has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Toyoku and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Toyoku throws a looping overhand right but Patriarkki ducks down to avoid it.
Toyoku is looking to wear down Patriarkki with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Toyoku darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Toyoku has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Toyoku seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Patriarkki for as long as he can get away with.

Patriarkki regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Toyoku.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toyoku is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Patriarkki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Toyoku. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Toyoku thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Patriarkki pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Patriarkki shoots in for a double leg but Toyoku sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jurgen Patriarkki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
