Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Dykemiller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dykemiller blocks a head kick by Silva.
Dykemiller looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Royce Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dykemiller fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dykemiller shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Despite being in the dominant position, Royce Silva just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silva is trying to work for a kimura but Dykemiller is defending well.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Dykemiller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Silva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Royce Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Silva goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dykemiller turns into him and now he's in Silva's guard.
Silva should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dykemiller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes.

Dykemiller sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Royce Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
