The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
stevenson throws a nice looking combination but Aries bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
stevenson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aries is trying to defend but stevenson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Aries is looking to escape.
Aries knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for stevenson on the ground.
stevenson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aries keeps working.

stevenson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Aries controls his leg.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
stevenson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Aries missing with a left hand there. stevenson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Aries gets caught flat footed, as stevenson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Aries is looking to stand up but stevenson isn't so interested in that idea.

Aries cracks stevenson with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! stevenson falls to his knees and Aries doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
