Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ian Bjornson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gerhard Wagner!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjornson shoots in for a takedown but Wagner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bjornson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wagner.
Bjornson fails with a takedown attempt.
Wagner throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wagner moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Wagner lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bjornson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wagner sprawls well. Wagner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bjornson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ian Bjornson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wagner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bjornson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bjornson looks for a takedown but Wagner sprawls well.

Wagner misses with a straight left.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wagner.
Bjornson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Bjornson is breathing heavily.

Wagner slaps away a takedown attempt from Bjornson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Wagner darts in and clinches Bjornson up against the cage.
Wagner lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Ian Bjornson has been cut.
Bjornson tries to pull guard but Wagner won't allow it.
Wagner digs a right hand underneath Bjornson's ribcage. Bjornson let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Wagner lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bjornson backwards.
Wagner gets through Bjornson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.


Bjornson is rocked!
Wagner lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Oh Bjornson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Knees in the clinch landing for Wagner.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Wagner.
A short right from Wagner.
Wagner has Bjornson pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Bjornson is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Wagner - that's hurt Bjornson badly! Oh, another knee lands and Bjornson is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Bjornson doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Gerhard Wagner!
