Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mertsi Plomeros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaby Nimat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plomeros clinches with his opponent.

Nimat throws a nice looking combination but Plomeros bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nimat jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Plomeros walks away with a smile on his face. Nimat gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Nimat misses with a takedown attempt - Plomeros sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Plomeros looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Plomeros counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Plomeros tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nimat swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Plomeros shoots in for a takedown but Nimat shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mertsi Plomeros has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gaby Nimat.

Plomeros is really struggling to control Nimat but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Nimat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Plomeros swivels though and keeps the full guard.
