Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Morisawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morisawa has chosen M1dy - Cold Pizza as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyle McCoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Morisawa!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Morisawa blocks a jab.
A bone on bone clash there as Morisawa blocks the leg kick.
McCoy throws a leg kick but Morisawa sees it coming and checks it nicely.
McCoy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Morisawa digs a good hook to McCoy's body.
McCoy misses with a body shot.
McCoy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Morisawa at a distance.
Morisawa bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McCoy's head backwards.
McCoy misses with a two punch combination.
McCoy throws a shot from downtown. Morisawa moves away and avoids it.
Morisawa ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
McCoy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Morisawa feints and as McCoy raises his hands in defense, Morisawa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Morisawa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Morisawa connects with a couple of short punches.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morisawa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

and Morisawa moves into the clinch.

McCoy goes for a takedown attempt but Morisawa pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from McCoy.
McCoy tries for a takedown but Morisawa manages to get underhooks.

McCoy gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Morisawa regains guard.

McCoy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McCoy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Morisawa stands up over McCoy, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

McCoy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Morisawa's guard.
McCoy is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Morisawa tries to roll over but McCoy keeps him under control.
Morisawa regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from McCoy.

Shinji Morisawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
McCoy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Morisawa counters by moving into the clinch.
McCoy tries to land knees in the clinch but Morisawa avoids the damage to the body.
McCoy drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Morisawa turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Morisawa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Morisawa lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Morisawa seems to be working for a kimura but McCoy defends the submission attempt.
Morisawa is pressing down on McCoy's thigh, looking to free his foot. McCoy is holding on for now.
McCoy wants to control but Morisawa is keeping busy and won't allow it.
McCoy gets back to full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McCoy is trying to keep Morisawa in close.
McCoy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Morisawa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

McCoy moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Morisawa has worked his arm free - good work by Morisawa!
Morisawa parries the strikes from McCoy easily there. McCoy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Morisawa to escape.
McCoy tries for a kimura but Morisawa is defending well.

Morisawa regains half guard there - taking advantage of McCoy's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

McCoy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Morisawa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McCoy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Shinji Morisawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Morisawa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
