Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rocco Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mix Up (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez takes a swing at Up's ribcage but misses.
Ramirez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Up shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ramirez as he avoids it easily.
Up fails to land the takedown.
Up shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ramirez pinned against the cage. Ramirez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rocco Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mix Up.
Up drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Up reaches up to try and control the position but Ramirez seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Up rolls and tries to escape and now Ramirez has his back!

Ramirez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Up for as long as he can get away with.
Ramirez has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Up has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That was a close round but I would say that Rocco Ramirez will probably get the nod.

Up feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Up is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
